Seminar on "Psychological Resilience" by Faculty Members of Our Department

Prof. Dr. Yeliz Kındap Tepe, Head of the Psychology Department at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Ondokuz Mayıs University, and Dr. Elif Ünal, Assistant Head of the Department, participated as speakers in a meaningful event held at the Çarşamba Correctional Institutions Campus. As part of the June 6th Correctional Personnel Day events, a seminar on "Psychological Resilience" was held for correctional institution and probation personnel in collaboration with the Çarşamba Probation Directorate and the Çarşamba Open Correctional Institution Directorate.

Professional Burnout and Mental Well-being Addressed In the program, which took place with intense participation, our faculty members shared their valuable academic knowledge and experience with the personnel on critical issues such as strategies for coping with stressful life events, key factors that increase psychological resilience, prevention of professional burnout, and maintaining mental well-being in challenging working conditions. The seminar, which addressed effective methods of dealing with challenges encountered in professional life, concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session where participants' questions were answered.

Plaque Presentation Following the seminar, thank you plaques were presented to our Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Yeliz Kındap Tepe, and our Vice Head of Department, Dr. Elif Ünal, for their valuable scientific contributions to the event. The plaques were presented by Hasan Hüseyin Özdağ, Director of Çarşamba Open Penitentiary, and Habil Kanoğlu, Director of Çarşamba Probation Office.
